I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. As early as I can remember, there was always at least one person in my family that was juggling the task of running their own business; usually while working more than one job. My great-grandfather ran a candy store. His success was measured in the overwhelming amount of kids from the neighborhood who had their fair share of cavities. My mom ran a nail salon for several years in two different cities. Her carpal tunnel and bursitis in her shoulder are constant reminders of the success she too enjoyed. So it should come as no surprise that I too would have the bug and be inspired to run my own business. Though tons of people across the nation are saying goodbye to their cubicles on their 9 to 5 jobs, starting and successfully running a business is not as easy as it looks.
It is all too easy to make all the perfect mistakes when embarking on the adventure of entrepreneurship. And with so many people today being able to self publish and set up blogs and websites, it is even easier to get wrapped up in a web of misguided direction. So whenever I come across a valued source of information I absolutely have to share it with everyone I know.
I recently discovered Marshawn Evans’s ME University Business & Branding Bootcamp, and the inspiration and new ideas flowing inside of my head are almost overwhelming.
